D‑Cine Player · 4.2.32 release
DCP Cine Player identity and integration
Public discovery for device scans, authenticated operational APIs and structured metadata for Catcher and facility workflows.
Discover without opening control access
Probe GET /api/player/v1/discovery or /.well-known/dcp-cine-player. Validate the schema/product before accepting the response. Read the running version, persisted installation ID, licence-issued serial and public leaf certificate when available.
Public certificate download has an exact read-only route. Discovery exposes no content catalogue, private key, licence code or control credentials; adjacent monitoring, metadata and control routes retain authentication.
Scanner guide and endpointsThree identities, three jobs
Installation UUID
Persists across ordinary upgrades/restarts and certificate rotation. Offline clones need fresh installation provisioning.
Licence-issued serial
Follows the registered licence; same-code reactivation retains it. An unregistered/deactivated demo has no issued product serial.
Recipient certificate
Public certificate serial/fingerprint identifies recipient credentials, not the equipment’s issued serial. Existing KDMs must be checked against the actual recipient.
Declare the screen without guessing
Authenticated device-info reports real publisher/model, known components and actual running software versions. Operator-declared installed audio and 3D/caption support remain separate from decoder capability and routing. Unknown, explicit none and declared support have distinct meanings.
Native metadata identifies SOAP compatibility separately. Keep existing Barco emulation until the actual client is qualified for real-product identity. Connected-equipment metadata inventory is unsupported in this release. Catcher owns its screen assignment and FLM publication; the player supplies metadata rather than publishing FLM.
Prepare, dispatch and verify
Shows before assets arrive
TMS programming can retain unresolved content/cue references and expose readiness for subsequent delivery. Media, keys and licences still gate playback.
Durable ingest and command results
Persistent jobs and request identities support recovery from a lost response. Controllers poll completion and confirm timeline before sending the next command.
Observed operating history
Named playback and automation outcomes plus asynchronous authenticated audit exports support schedule verification with explicit coverage limits.
Real content delivery, KDM recipient handling, physical macros and cinema outputs require separate site qualification. Operational audit exports are unsigned.
