DCP Cine Player features

A detailed view of the implemented playback, workflow, control, security and service capabilities.

Playback and media

DCP playback

SMPTE/Interop package discovery, CPL selection, JPEG 2000 picture, multichannel sound, timed text, KDM preflight and composition metadata.

IMF playback

AssetMap and IMF CPL discovery with FFmpeg playback of unencrypted IMF compositions. Encrypted IMF is detected and rejected until compatible key delivery is configured.

Ordinary media

FFmpeg-backed MOV, MP4, MKV and other supported containers for trailers, advertisements, policy and event material.

EAR‑Tech playback

Random-access authenticated decryption directly into the media reader, with package/descriptor binding and KDM validity checks.

Output paths

Fullscreen or windowed display, SDL audio, configurable display selection, DeckLink capability discovery where built and HDCP preflight.

Audio matrix

Named profiles, channel routing, per-route gain, output-device selection, live preview, meters and cinema channel-order presets.

Calibration

Picture test patterns, audio channel identification and an operator-oriented calibration workspace.

Content and shows

Typed ingest

Define filesystem and FTP sources as DCP, IMF, EAR, media or KDM; validate packages and monitor selected-composition imports.

Content library

Graphical asset markers, separate DCP/IMF/EAR/media FTP views, readiness, encryption state, media metadata and controlled deletion.

Show editor

Searchable show and clip lists with graphical type markers, black, delay, automation cues, macros and event-stream items.

Scheduler

Weekly calendar editing, copy-week workflow, enabled/disabled modes and automatic playlist loading and playback.

Event streams

Authority-published stream templates, configurable arguments and scheduled or playlist-based network media.
